    Normal 0 0 1 105 602 5 1 739 11.1539 0 0 0 The Asia Society, founded by John Rockefeller III in 1956, was established to promote a greater understanding of Asia in the U.S. Since that time, as “economics an cultures become more interconnected” the mission has expanded to include the effects of globalization, rapid urbanization, environmental and human rights concerns.
    They have a wonderful website for kids, too: Asia Society Kids: http://kids.asiasociety.org/
    There are many helpful and useful links for bringing Asia into the classroom.
    There is a page with tabs: STORIES, ARTS LANGUAGES GAMES EXPLORE.
    Many of the links are interactive, though there are lots of ideas for the technology challenged classroom, like my own
