This website provides an overview of some of the different formats of art found in East Asian cultures.  Students can use this site to research different types of art created in East Asian Culture.  I like that the site includes a sidebar on the right that you can use to research different art types Chonologically and by Country.  By selecting chronology, you can look at art from Japan from 1000-1400AD for example, and within each chronological section, you are able to research further into that specific time period and the art forms that were being created at the time.  Students could be given this as a part of a cultural research project for homeroom, where they can explore the ancient artistic influences on culture today.
