I LOVED this series he did on the Mongols. I learned so much and I enjoy Dan Carlin's style. I did not know that after a while you have to pay for the podcasts. Thanks for the heads up!
Dan Carlin is a history fan. His most recent Hardcore History podcasts are entertaining lectures on the Mongols. Each one is about 90 minutes and really fun if you like history. These may not be what you play for the kids but they are useful to help keep informed while driving or otherwise unable to read a book. He has great podcasts on other subjects as well. Download the podcasts because after a time they are no longer available on the web site for free but must be purchased.
