National Geographic for Kids is an obvious extension to the flagship site, but dedicated for students. This link takes you to the Chinese horoscope, a nice gateway to discussions about Chinese culture. It talks about the years associated with the animals, traits attributed, and simple Chinese characters for the animal too. This is a subscription site, but there are enough free fact finding sections to keep student interest. Since it’s under the National Geographic banner the site is appropriate with its ads and content and is useful for research and presentations for students from elementary to I’d say middle school.
