I had the pleasure of finding http://www.taiwandc.org/. The title of the website is "New Taiwan: Ilha Formosa--The Website for Taiwan's History, Present, and Future". The website basically promotes Taiwanese culture, history, and politics. The articles on this site promotes exactly what the titles says regarding Taiwan. What is interesting about this site are its political views expressed in http://www.taiwandc.org/ and the views expressed in the website's articles. The political views of http://www.taiwandc.org/ are pro-Taiwan sovereignty and Anti-Mainland China/Anti-People's Republic of China domination. What's interesting is that amidst the Anti-Mainland/Anti-PRC/Anti-Communist viewpoints, the website and articles are just as much, if not more, Anti-Kuomintang/Anti-Nationalist/Anti-Chiang Kai-Shek. The website and articles view Chiang Kai-Shek as an authoritarian dictator who brought Martial Law over Taiwan which lasted four decades. Regarding the Nationalist Kuomintang, the website says that "the KMT attempted to maintain the fantasy that they ruled all of China, and would some day 'recover' the mainland." The website and articles, feel that Chiang and the Nationalists inflicted their autocratic dictatorship over 85% of the native Taiwan population even though Chiang and the Nationalists who fled the mainland numbered no more that 15% of the Taiwan population. The website has a pro-UN membership stance for Taiwan and also expresses a pro-sovereignty stance...a bold stance against Mainland China's view of Taiwan as a "Province of Mainland China in Rebellion". A high school student could definitely use the website with ease, and that high school student would benefit in getting an Extremely Different viewpoint on the status & history of Taiwain...a viewpoint which is anti-Communist/Anti-PRC yet at the same time have a viewpoint which is Anti-Nationalist/Anti-Chaing Kai-Shek.
