The center for Asian Studies, University of Colorado has a wonderful website of lessons catered for High School students. The one I would use is " A Case Study of Late Twentieth-Century Japan through Art: Tezuka Osamu and Astro Boy." The website is easy to navigate and provides very straight forward links for teachers to use in a sequential format to implement the lessons provided. For my U.S. history class I can use this lesson to look at post-WWII and how Japan rebuilt. By looking at the emergence of Manga and Astro Boy I am sure students will show a great interest in the Japanese pop culture of the post war era.
