He is a UCLA student from Dakar, Senegal who went to China and studied Chinese
He points out how comfortable he feels in China and how people sit outside in the evenings and chit-chat just like in his own country.
What facinated me about this story was his journey from Senegal to France to various parts of the US and then to China.
His view of language as a key to understanding the cultures of people. His view of the world from the viewpoint of the people and their cultures is beautiful.
