The Silk Road/ Belt and Road Initiative--China Highlights

[Alison Douglas]

I found this Website to help my class understand the Silk Road https://www.chinahighlights.com/silkroad/new-silk-road.htm

It is a great resource and easy for my middle school students to follow.  I teach 7th grade World History, and It explains all about what the Silk Road was and how it is used today.  It has several different links explaining all different aspects from trade to tourism.

• The Silk Road
• Top Things to Do
• Silk Road Facts
• Silk Road History
• The Silk Road's Significance
• The New Silk Road
• The Maritime Silk Road
• Silk Road Trade
• 8 Buddhist Grottoes
• Silk Road Travel Tips
• China Silk Road Tours
• Silk Road Maps

We will be using it so that the students can see the significance of the Silk Road and the impact that it had on the rest of the world.
