I just learned about an organization seeking to collect signatures to put pressure on the Chinese government to stop the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. According to this organization, every year, in Yulin, China, thousands of dogs are slaughtered as part of the Yulin Dog Meat Festival. Before being killed, these animals are often subjected to terrible conditions, including starvation, torture, and disease. Many of the slaughtered animals are domestic pets stolen of the street.
