This is a really good website for "one stop shopping" about Japan. It includes historical information, cultural resources, social issues, and even has basic Japanese language lessons. Although some of the information might be a bit too advanced for my 7th grade students, it would suit high school students very well and can also be useful for group discussions about modern-day challenges which face Japan.
