On Saturday, a few of us had been discussing different bug sprays. I went on Amazon.com, and I saw that the Avon Skin So Soft bug stuff is pretty cheap. Some also has sun screen added to it. FYI

Oh, Dyliss--- the other travel website I was trying to think of on Saturday is Magellan's. They are a little spendy, but they do have those pouches and purses we were discussing.

A good tip that I received today was to use bottled water to brush your teeth.

    Hi,

Here's the link to buy this bug repellant online. It's not on sale right now and currently costs $16.00 a spray can. It sometimes goes on sale for half off. I stopped buying the type with the sunblock in it because it stained all clothes (hopefully, the other type doesn't stain). http://shop.avon.com/shop/search.aspx?find_spec=skin

I just got a good one from amazon. They have a wide selection. I got a leather one and it is very soft and has plenty of room for passport.

I just called the Kaiser Travel clinic and they made suggestions for bug repellant. The clinic doesn't like Skin-So-Soft because it sometimes stains clothes, so she suggested
Sawyer Controlled Release and to prewash clothing in Permethrin. The Permethrin makes your clothes become insect repellant for several days. These items are available through sporting good stores like REI or Sports Challet.

Hi, All! I just ordered an umbrella and reversible skirt from a cool site called GOlite.com. It specializes in Light baggage and accessories for travel. I also got the Lonely Planet's DISCOVER CHINA book through Amazon. Its great for those of us who have never been to China.

I wonder if anyone can tell me if you think a waterproof backpack is a good idea? Roc Gear, Inc. has some on sale for about $50.00.

I like Mary's idea of looking at travel books before we go. What was the name of the book Rudy was passing around? It looked pretty informative.

I have been using the free service livemocha.com. it's good and simple to use.

Has anybody tried some of the tranyslators for iphone and android? What I want is a device that records my voice so I can hear it playback.
