The Truman Library in Independence Missouri has a very good website with a variety of sources about the Korean War. http://www.trumanlibrary.org/korea/
Among its menu items include Documents, Images, Links, and Sights, Sounds and Stories. The “Documents” section has an abundance of documents (from 1945-1953) ranging from memos between key individuals involved in the war to classified messages from the War Department. These documents are provided via scanning, but also have printer friendly version. These documents can most certainly be used in the classroom for activities such as Primary Source Analysis. The site also has a variety of pictures and detailed descriptions/background info in the “Images” that can be used if the student is composing a PowerPoint of report that requires visuals. The “Links” section provides Archival Materials at the library (and the Eisenhower Library, as well) and Public Papers, Executive Orders, and Proclamations. Finally the “Sights, Sounds, and Stories” section provide actual audio clips such as Harry S. Truman addressing the situation in Korea, Truman defining the meaning of "police force" in relation to the United Nations action in Korea, Truman discussing how he and General MacArthur fell out over the Chinese entry into the Korean War, and even a radio report to the American people on Korea and on U.S. Policy.
