This site offers resources for programs and seminars focusing on East Asia for teachers. For example, there is a Korea Project, seminar listing, and links to SPICE. There are also links to resources on different topics/cultures. The site is heavily focused on Japan, including having a "Teaching Japan Through Children's Literature" and "Imagining Japanese History". Here is where there is information teachers can use beyond their own education and work with students.
For example, in my seventh grade classroom, I may draw upon the lesson described to teach about the Heian period to create my own lesson (breaking it down to fit better into my time schedule). I may include one of the books mentioned in the literature section Poetry Talk, while including a lesson on Heian art. I liked the suggestions and handouts provided, but will probably alter them to only two resources instead of four. There are a bunch of good ideas on the site that be used as a sounding board or to give the initial idea of what to start with. The medieval Japan site and resources are also very interesting. I believe this site is very helpful in planning out lessons for a seventh grade world history course.
Some of the links, however, are broken, while the age level appropriateness is not mentioned. These, however, are small complaints. I would also have liked more audio and visual representation.
