The web resource I found is a virtual museum experience. The National Museum of Korea has exhibits throughout the history of Korea. There are 52 rooms available to explore virtually. This would be good to guide students through, especially now that we cannot visit local museums.
Students could be given a specific exhibit to explore and make observations about to incorporate into a unit of study on Korean history. This is exciting to use since students will be able to explore and determine their interests in specific eras of Korean history.
TIP: if you read English only, select English when you enter the site, otherwise it is in Korean (obviously).
Wow this is a great resource, especially now for distance learning. I teach students with Moderate/Severe disabilities and one of the components of my Life Skills class is assisting my students on Community-Based Instruction (CBIs). We go into the community to practice our life skills such as taking the bus, grocery shopping, going to the laundromat, etc. One of the things that I do to prep my students is walk them virtually through the intended route of where we're going. For example, if we were going to the grocery store, I would pull up the street view on Google Maps and show them which streets we would walk and mark exactly where we would be practicing certain safety skills. It's very similar to the museum walkthrough you presented! It's not too often on the Google Maps streetview that we get to go inside actual buildings, so it's cool that this building shows you the actual interior of the museum. Thanks for sharing!
Wow! This is an amazing resource. I had such a hard time finding a web resource that was unique and I didn't even think about virtual tours of musuems. This gives so much insight into artifacts, art, history, etc. I have given my students a few options to do virtual field trips during distance learning and they love it so much. They think it's so cool to visit musuems, national parks, etc. This is a fantastic way to introduce them to other cultures while still being extremely educational. Thank you for sharing!
I love virtual fieldtrips! Even when we are in school, it's super engaging for students. Here is a tour of the different gardens at the Huntington: https://www.huntington.org/botanical-collections-tours
