    If you like the earthy lifestyle of working on an organic farm in another country in exchange for room, board, and an education in organic farming and sustainability methods, check out WWOOF at http://www.wwoof.org
    They have a listing of farms, most of them run by small families, all around the world, including Asia.
    Some places included are not even farms, but non-profit organizations that do wonderful things for the world and its people.
    I never had the chance to go myself, but I looked through one of their catalogs and it looked pretty amazing.
