I came across this website in my search for web resources. This website provides access to interesting and diverse content and would be a good resource for mainly teachers, but students too. One can search area of study by country: China, Japan, Korea and there is also a section devoted to East Asia. One can access links to various other websites, some more useful than others.
I especially found useful a link to the history of China as it provides an overview of China's history from ancient dynasties to the modern people's republic of China and includes subtopics within each category. This link provides a good introduction to each topic from ancient dynasties to Imperial China, to the emergence of modern China. I think this web resource might be useful to both teachers and students as it includes maps, other visuals and links for further reading and resources. There are many other topics of interetst related to East Asia in this website under special topics category such as music, Chinese traditional instrument muic, food, news,culture to an online newspaper broadcasting current events. There is also a lot of resources on Chinese language resources to visual resources link which provides links to various museums, like the National gallery of Art in Washington DC, to visual collections and art history resources. There are photo archives to online galleries.
This website seems interesting, educational and offers access to diverse information about topics, history and cultures of East Asia and it seems like a useful resource for both teachers and students.
