This website has a wealth of resources on contemporary Japanese literature and articles. It includes many reviews on contemporary fiction including work that has been translated into English along with a recommendation section on literature. The website also contains many essays and scholarly articles covering some very unique and intersting topics that concern Japanese culture/pop-culture, literature, etc. For example, there was an article I read from this site titled, "Concealing and Revealing Identities: Cross-Dressing in Anime and Manga" along with two other articles I reviewed titled, "Strong Female Characters: Feminism and the Ladies of Final Fantasy" and "Pokemon as Japanese Literature". Each of these articles look at Japanese society through the lens of video games and anime, which could peak interest with many students.

Along with texts that are provided directly on this site, it also has several links to other sites and blogs that are split into categories including topics such as manga, art, pop-culture, video games, etc.

Lastly, there is a discussion thread where many people have asked questions directly to Kathryn Hemmann who is a professor at George Mason University specializing in Japanese Literature, video games, and pop culture runs and who runs the site. She frequently responds to the questions and gives insights and provides resources.
