I have found this web series to be most beneficial. I show these videos a the end of a unit and create video based questions for students to answer. I also use these videos as a way to spark collaborative discussions within small groups. I find that that videos are rich in content and are historically accurate. I also like that Green gives whole world context to each major event in history. My only critique is that he speaks very quickly (for my students) but he must to fit everything into the segment, this is also the reason I show the video at the end of the unit. Green covers many events throughout history so it makes it easy to fold into your unit planning because he is consistent and has a structured format to his web series. I highly recommend using this site and hope it helps in planning.
