This website is sponsored by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan. I like this website because it’s geared specifically towards children. I teach 5th grade, so this website is a great resource for my students to conduct independent research.

The website is divided into four major sections titled Play, Lean, Try, and Explore Japan. Students can explore various topics such as virtual culture, folk legends, and they can take quizzes. Students can also learn about various types of content such as manga, Japanese language, and local Japanese specialties. In addition, students can learn about various places to travel, and one of my personal favorites, Japanese cuisine.

Although this website is designed specifically for use by children, I also plan on using it for guided lessons because content of the website is very kid friendly.
