This is an independently run website that tracks what is trending on Weibo. It has articles about what is trending on Weibo and it explains what is going on behind the hashtag for a Western audience. I love this particular cite as a counter point to offical Chinese and Western media. Earlier this year when we were looking at Wuhan and the corona virus, my class used this cite to see how Chinese were using Weibo to protest and how they memorialized Li Wenliang via social media. This is a useful source for non Chinese speakers to get a different view of what Chinese people are thinking, feeling and expressing via social media. This window into China is one my students have really enjoyed and is an important resource to compare with offical governmet media.
