I attended Dr. Lynne Miyake's presentation at UTLA
Regarding Manga;
I have passed by them at Border’s and also ignored them thinking as well that they were a kids’ trend, I imagined they were books for youngsters only with content similar to the Tales From the CrypT in japanse style. I never took the time to even look beyond the cover, assuming that there was nothing for me there. I thought they were cartoons with empty dialog and had no idea of the art that lies beneath.
I am glad I learned to pass that barrier. I will be able to see them with more appreciative eyes, also I now that I have to read some of them backwards.
Some of the pictures could also be framed; they are just so breath taking.
