My name is Debbie Brittenham. I am a retired Social Studies teacher, now substitute, from Walnut Valley USD in Diamond Bar, Ca. My interest in Japan started long ago when my brother moved to Hokkaido to teach, and has developed through teaching medieval Japan in 7th grade. I was fortunate to participate in an East Asia seminar, then study tour of Japan and South Korea with NCTA, and have since attended numerous workshops first through UCLA, then USC-China. I currently am a volunteer docent at the Bowers, a cultural art museum in Santa Ana. I am delighted to be able to join this group, and to deepen my knowledge of Japan.
