My name is Margaret Fitzgerald, but I go by Peggy (a nickname for Margaret). I am from Cleveland, OH, and currently live in a western suburb of the city. I recently (June 30, 2022) retired from Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, where I taught Japanese language (and a bit of Japanese popular culture) for 25 years. I am in the transition phase from teaching to......? I am very interested in the topics and time periods of today's workshop, and I want to keep expanding my knowledge of Japan's culture and history. I am also considering working, teaching part time in my local schools. I look forward to today's workshop.
