Greetings Fellow Educators . . .
My name is Jeannine Kuropatkin and I currently teach Pre-AP World History & Geography and an elective course of Holocaust Studies at Red Mountain HS in Mesa, Arizona. I have been at RMHS for the past 4 years; previous to that I taught 23 years of Social Studies at the Junior High level (grades 7-8-9) including courses of World History, World Geography, 8th grade Social Studies, and US History. Over the years, I have participated in numerous Workshops, Conferences, NEH Summer Institutes, Fulbright-Hayes GPA, NCTA programs, and Korea Society Fellowships related to Asian history, culture, and geography. I have done travel-study mostly in Asian countries of Japan, South Korea, Singapore, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Bahrain, Qatar, UAE, and Saudi Arabia. For as long as I can remember, I have had an inner passion to learn about world cultures with a strong propensity towards cultures of Asia, Oceania, and Africa.
I look forward to learning, networking, and engaging with like-minded educators. Always interested in new strategies for making global cultures, history, and geography come alive in the classroom.
