Hello Everyone! I'm so sorry this has taken me so long to post but I'm so happy and feel fortunate to be here! My name is Jillian. I'm an elementary school teacher. Currently I teach grade five at an international school in Thailand but I taught at a couple of international schools in South Korea before moving here. I'm originally from Massachusetts in the US but have been teaching in Asia since 2008.
Living in Asia, I feel it's important for me to know more about the history of this region. In addition to just being curious, I'm also looking to incorporate more local/regional history content into my social studies lessons with my students. In the future, my school will be making this shift as well. We may be an American international school but we're located in Thailand and honoring the local culture is important.
