I grew up in the theory of confucians great impact on my behaviors, characters, personality, and my personal value. I was told the benevolance, titual, politnss, and virtues as the best person. "When I walk along with two others, they may serve me as my teachers, I will select their good qualities and follow them, their bad qualities and aviod them" actually guided me to the right directions as I headed towards with my destination becasue I believe now matter how great or successful we are, we always find the better ones to learn from just like when you climb to the top of the mountain, you will find every other mountains will all under your control. As Confucius abserved, " the ruler of a kingdom or headof a family does not worry about his people's being poor, only about their being unevenly distributed. He does not worry about their being few, only about their being dissatisfied" demonstes the essence of our governing rules. The way we govern our country as leaders adopted the Confucian phylosophy to understand that we haver to serve our people, which is "from the people, by th epeople, and for the people' .

I am very interested in building a cultural bridge between USA and China to spread out our traditons and culture. Actually, I am teaching my students Chinese Calligraphy to train our students to be still and deciplined with the essence of the Chinese arts and philosophical traditions during lunch and after school.

From the history book, we read about the crimes Japanese committed to Chinese at that time. They will never be forgiven for the crimes they commited. I wtached the movies with my tears and pride of the 13 Chinese prostitudes with their beautiful souls and heart s to give lives to the innoncent female students captrued by Japanese soilders protected by an American Priest. The novel is Gelling Yan's best piece who was haunted by the crimes for her entire life in this world.

I'd like to show part of the movies to my 10th graders when we move to our last unit theme, " The Human Connection" to help our students understand different human connections- between an American missionary who ran a collebge in Najing and the female students and some prostitudes who sacrifcised themselves to save the girl students during the Nanjing massarce, which is a great opportunity for our students to study the historical event The Rape of Nanjing. The story will prompt our students to consider the cruelty of the war, and the human kindness of an American Missionary, and the herioc actions of those protitudes who gave their lives to save those students captured by Japanes.

Hi Luis, all you mentioned is true. The cultual revolution was launched by Chairman Mao to whorship his individuality as a dectationship in his late learderhsip in China, which destroyed many traditions and cutural legent left for thousands of years. Chairman Mao was getting older and his ego became so big that he could tolerate differnet opinions. Then He printed out the little handbook" Long Live Chairman Mao" to insert the concept into all chinese people he ruled Anyone who disobeyed his order was senenced to jail for no reasons, so the jails at that time were filled with intellectual scholars title " Chou Lao Jiu" till Chairman Deng came to the power.

The truth of the Beijing Tian An Men Saquare in 1989" started with a groups of studens leaders tried to negociate with the leaders to resume the reputation of their Prime Minister Zhao Zi Yang. Of course, They could compromise and then students from major Univerities in Beijing gathered in front the Tian An Men Square and called out for democratic resolution. The Chinese Governement sent troops to put dowm the riots and protest and killed many students to show thier power over the rebelled students and left many innoncent people dead. It's a painful memories becasue most of my friends were there and evidenced the brutality and inhumanity chinese governemnt committed to their own people when they were in peacful protest without weapons.
